Hi guys,
Just bought my beautiful Audi a4, the only issue I'm having is the exterior lights aren't turning off automatically when I leave the car, how can I fix this?

I've been trying to read the manual on how to change the driver display to show MPH instead of how many miles left on the tank of gas, but it tells me to press the reset button the windshield wiper lever but mine doesn't have a reset button on it, so how can I change it?

For the lights, if you have them in auto mode (the first position after off), they should automatically turn off. There's also a "coming home" feature activated by a small **** to the inside of the headlight switch, which will leave the fog/tail lights on for a minute if it's dark outside.

To change the display, you need the technology package, which has some additional buttons on the wiper stalk that let you toggle through the different information.

 

I don't have the auto mode, but shouldn't the car just detect that the door closed and turn off automatically in 30 seconds?

 

And about the driver information display, mine shows the radio, temperature and how many miles are left on the gas tank, can I change that one to show me the MPH?

Hi just purchased an A4 2005 2.0T.
Two questions noticed the engine is quite loud when idoling - is that normal?

Loud noise is also coming from the engine even when it has been turned off for a while?

 

New Audi - engine idles very rough when cold and this is normal until it warms up. Not sure about the "loud noise" coming from the engine when it is turned off - need to be more specific with when and for how long, fluids leaking? where is the noise coming from?

AH - doesn't sound like you have the technology package which would allow you to scroll through these features easily including all of the MPH features.

 

Not if they are non-auto. They must be turned on and off by you.
