just need sum advice

Default just need sum advice

..... I Have the 5.5 a4 q..... all stock pretty much.I have to get the timming belt done in the next couple weeks. seeing i am over 100k.... so that im puttin it in the shop for a day or 2. (found a very reli audi tunner shop. belt and water pump. for 700. said everything the dealership does only he chargers 25 hr. not 90 like audi). anyway i wanted to do sumthing that would make the car sound better while im there..... i heard ppl say intake and dv.. make the car sound alot better im not paul walker here nore do i want my car to look like that but it would be nice to have the turbo sound alot cooler....i know what an intake does but im not so sure about the dv.... but i know its a popular custom with these cars just looking for sum info.. to help me out

Seriously. Does anybody read the stickies up top? Inkaes are not recommended. FRORGE DV spacer if you want that wooshing sound. Your monry would be better spent on a chip as that gives a permanent grin but no sound.

well i just wanted it to having the spooling sound better.......idk bout the wooshing ones i heard sum of them and im not a fan of my ride sounding like a neon or civic .. thats why i asked cuz i didnt know b/w just the dv. and the dv spacer.....idk. thats why i need info.

You might get some sound from an intake but there are virtually no power gains on these cars and the intakes are way over priced.

The chip will add some slight sound as you will push quite a bit more boost but I would add a "D" Diverter Valve to hold that boost as if you read my sticky the othe valves tear easily and lose boost. Get A DP or test pipe and go stage 2 and the car will be a new animal and sound better. Best bang for the buck PERIOD.

You'll definitely get more sound than stock just by chipping it, since the turbo runs harder. There's also some sound dampening foam in your air box, which you can remove to further increase the sound.
