Default Low brake indicator always on even with new pads

How do I diagnose the system for the brake sensors? When pads are ok, should the sensor be an open or closed circuit? So I can tell if it's pads or the circuit.

i believe the circuit should be closed when the pads are good and then when they wear down too much, the wire in the middle gets ground down by the rotor and the warning light comes on. when i did mine last summer, the sensor/wire had just been exposed but was still intact. i dont think you can plug it in wrong, but check the connections and make sure they are clean and solid.

Brake sensors are for soccer moms.

Guys on these forums know when their brake pads are thin. Cut the plug off the car, connect the two wires and seal it up.
