I've forgotten how much AWD makes a difference. My A4 has quattro and snow tires, and we've had quite a winter in West Michigan. My car has been in the shop now for about a week and a half and I'm missing it quite a bit. I impaled my car on a block of ice bigger than a basketball going 55 mph. It fell off of a semi. $2700 in damage. I currently have a large Dodge Charger for a loaner. Rear drive and all seasons. I've nearly gotten stuck a few times, in stuff my Audi would laugh at. I'm glad I have the car, and it is nice to have all the extra room, but I find myself being crazy cautious with it since it doesn't "GO" like my car can in the snow, especially pulling out. Reminds me of my dad's monster rear drivers I grew up driving. Fun for doughnuts, but not as sure footed as AWD.
