need advice before buying please!
Hey there everyone. I'm new to this forum and am very close to buying an 07 A4 2.0T quattro. It has 64,xxx miles on it. I've been doing research on them and have found that they consume oil but doesn't appear to be a big deal if you just keep adding oil, which to some could be an annoyance. What are some other problems/issues I should know of before I buy this car. I have the car fax for it, regular maintenance has been done here locally in Spokane, WA and nothing major has gone wrong with it. The timing belt was replaced at 55,000 miles. I drove it and loved it. Basically, if there's any reason I should not buy this car please tell me ASAP! I've heard both good things and bad things about Audis. I have no reason to believe they are bad yet. Any input would be much appreciated! Thank you very much!

If the timing belt has been completed (hopefully they replaced the water pump at the same time) then the major repair concern would have already been addressed. Cam Follower has also been an issue for some (that also should have been replaced with the belt).
Some cars use more oil than others. I burn less than a quart between oil changes (7500 miles) while others report a quart every 1500 miles or so.
I have a 2008 that I bought with 60K on it. I am just about ready to hit 90k and have only replaced the diverter valve and PCV. No other issues.

Same here. No oil added between changes, 5000 mile service interval, and mine's an '06.
As with any forum, you'll find that the problems are a vocal minority, not the rule.
I would question why the timing belt was replaced that early. That's half the interval for it (110k miles).

ok thanks for all of your intel. I did buy it. Got it yesterday and so far I love it. Big upgrade from my 03 mini. I guess if I have any questions or concerns I'll come on here and ask you! I'm also going to keep an eye on that oil. I like hearing how none of you have had problems with that! Take care! thanks again!
