hello i just got my A4 b7 model an need to change my oil.. when i open my hood it says castrol 5w.20 but can i put any other oil i know it has to be synthetic but can it be mobil 1 or any other brand? thanks

 

You can use other brands of oil. Just make sure it is rated for the VW/Audi turbo engines. I think 5w40 is the norm. Needs to be full synthetic. I use Mobil 1 in mine.

 

thanks for your reply man i used 5w30 castrol edge full syn.. and put on some stp engine treatment..my god i made a difference i recommend it.. makes your engine much quiter smoother idle and idk but it feels a little more responsive good shyt hahaha
