Default Can Bus Location

passenger-side foot well.. In the panel next to your right leg if you were sitting in the seat. You have to Peel off the weather stripping along the bottom of the door once the door is opened to be able to take the panel off.

I have the 8E0 035 593 E receiver. I connected the XM receiver and activated it. Switched over the CAN Bus by the foot well. I have a CD changer in my deck and an IPOD connected in the glove box as that is how I bought the car. I use both the CD changer and my IPOD once in awhile but no I want XM. I also can switch though all the stations and see what song is playing and what station I'm on, but no audio is present.

Folks, I can only post what worked for me.

Also, as of tonight, my Audi belongs to someone else. I sold it.

Is it possible you may have the wrong unit installed or have you contacted Sirius to update the account with the Audi per the VIN? Should work as mine worked right away once I installed it.

I'll have to call Sirius again and ask them to update the account with my VIN and see of that works, thank you.

Update....
So, I called Sirius to match my VIN with the sirius radio ID and it still didn't do anything for my sound

Interesting.. Are you sure you have the right unit? Have you switched the CanBus?

I'm sure I have the right unit because everything hooks up correctly. I mean literally everything works but the sound I did switch the CAN BUS.

Hmmm that's frustrating. Is it just the satellite through where you're not getting sound? Does the rest of the radio and options produce sound (fm, cd)?
For some reason it could just be a faulty unit? Tough to diagnose perhaps. When I installed mine, all I did was plug it in and changed the Canbus. Perhaps Audi may have to reset something in the radio? Hate to learn that fee :s. May be worth a try tho.
