Depends where you get it. Just Google stasis dealers near you and shop around

i have a test pipe in my 06 2.0. all you have to do is buy an angled spacer for the secondary oxygen sensor, easy fix. and for the difference of them, i have no idea. i would say they are the same, both are just empty pipes, no filters.

^False. A high flow cat isn't an empty pipe, the catalyst is still in there, its just packed in a far more efficient manner that still cleans the exhaust without significantly impacting flow. That little bit of added resistance, though minor, does still affect the note. There are several videos on youtube that have side by side comparisons of everything from just a test pipe vs stock, a test pipe and downpipe but no mufflers vs stock, a HFC with downpipe vs stock vs just test pipe, etc.

That's why I assumed they are the same, if it has a filter why would the check engine light go off. Is their a performance difference?

It *can* throw a code just because of the higher flow; some cars do, others don't. The actual emissions reading if you were to test the exhaust with the hfc will still read clean, but the higher flow in some cases can still throw a light. Basically, the sensor is configured to read x clean particles per y volume of gas, but with the hfc its still getting x clean particles per z volume gas where z>y so it thinks something is wrong and throws the code. The end result is still the same required x clean particles, the sensor is just reading a lower ratio because the flow is greater. Thus the adapter comes in and all that does is reduces how much of the sensor is in the exhaust stream so it forces it to register less volume and then the numbers line up again to make the computer happy.

I would not get one of those spacers to fool the computer. I have only personally seen them work on these cars and VW's with the same engine about 25% of the time. Very hit and miss. A tune will fix the light and give you power.

High flow cat will cost more and have a little less power and smell better.

Test pipe will be cheap on ebay, have more power and stink for people right behind you.

I went the test pipe route and made the car louder and kept the stock exhaust. Much cheaper that way.

Please try to type better as those posts hurt my brain.
