Spacers are fine but you must run exactly 8 more mm on your lug bolts. Thats 1 way people **** up is to use the stock bolts. Other spacer that can be bad are the kind that change your pattern to another pattern. Those are bolted on and then the wheels are bolted to them. People tend to not check the tightness of the underbolts they can't see.

My first example is the best. A slide over hubcentric with longer bolts and you are golden.
