I got this fault code from a VAG test...can anyone help explain this for me? i.e. what exactly is this problem? What is the cause of it? Is this a fuel pump? My car seems to run fine, maybe a little lag on the low end, but I dont want to run into further problems.

Hi,

Did you resolve this fault on your car? I'm running into hte same fault and a shop said it could be wearing of the cams which run the mechanical fuel pump. Seems strange at 47k changing oil every 5k with synth.

Sounds like ur cam follower, i just posted on apquigly's thread above, read that 1 for more information. And there is alot of information on that problem around cuz its considered "common" and it should be changed every 30k miles or so.
