If I change my own brakes on a 06 A4 will the Brake indicator light have to be reset by the dealership? Or will it reset itself?

It will reset itself IF you buy the pads with the sensors installed on them. Otherwise you can just take the 2 wires that go to the pad and cut them, splice them together and that will make the light go away but u obviously wont have that option anymore.
