I am an American who currently resides in Mainland China. I was itching for a car and ended up purchasing my first 2012 Audi A4L Type-S.

I understand a bit about cars, but am a complete noob and with the language and translation issues, I wanted to get some opinions on the servicing.

Here they only offer a 2 yr warranty period and 1 Service is included in the cost of the car at 7000 KM or 1 Year whichever comes first.

The guy I got the car from the regular maintenance should be at 2000 KM, then 7000 (or one year). And then an oil change every 5000 KM and service every 10,000 KM.

Does this sound right to you guys, do you have another recommendation?

This is what the sales guy emailed me as a translation of the service guide:

those chinese made cars can stay in china. i'd never buy one. is your owners manual, which contains the maintenance schedule, written in chinese? check it out some time. i change the oil in my cars every 8000 km.

 

Yeah the owners manual is in Chinese. Actually the dealership didn't even give me the schedule because they ran out or something.

Just seems the amount of service required is insane. Was hoping to have someone chime in with what their manuals or what they think is proper maintenance.

 

Oh yeah I wasn't looking to import a German Audi into China. As it is this car set me back about 67k usd.

Inspection / Service is done every 10,000 miles starting at 5,000. So 5, 15, 25, 35, 45...
Which is oil change and inspection. Pollen filters are replaced @ 15 and 35. Plugs are replaced at 35.

Audi recommend you do an oil change every 5,000 miles in between. 10,20,30,40.... Many skip the recommendation because the car doesn't NEED it but the more you change your oil the better it is for the car.

You can convert it to KM.... as for prices..... Your on your own there too.
