Hi guys.

I actually registered here just to do some research on the B8 generation A4. My GF is thinking about getting one and is coming currently from a 2004 MB Kompressor which seems to just be a pile of garbage. It honestly gives me a bit of an edge about going out and getting another German car. I was wondering if I could get some feedback about known issues with the B8s or the platform in general. It obviously won't be raced or modded in any way. I currently have a 2006 Mazda3 which has had almost zero issues over 125k and a 2010 370z 40th Ann which has its quirks like oil temp issues, clutch slave cylinder failure etc. I am looking for similiar feedback if anyone has any.

they're great cars. what can i say? they worked out pretty much all of the bugs in 2008+. all of the bugs prior to that are minor and were all covered under warranty. i paid nothing for all of the bugs to be fixed and the car runs the same as the day i drove it off the lot new. just be sure to follow the maintenance (get the audi care package) and the car will run forever.

i don't remember exactly. it was $500 or $600 or so. they rolled it into my lease payment as well. when the lease was up i bought it.
