Default Drove the new 09' A4

Went to Englewood Audi in NJ today for the launch of the new 09' A4. I was able to see the 2.0T along with a 3.2 and an Avanti. I was lucky enough to drive the new 2.0T.
I love the new front end!!!

Thats the basic SE front end tho isnt it. Did you get to see the S Line bumper/grill in person?

They look sweet, I love the mini-lights around the headlights.

I can't wait for a test drive. Our dealer is having a meet and greet thing with training and a walk through on 8/18, so I'll get to see it then. (probably won't get to drive one until a little later)

I drove the car yesterday here in Ann Arbor. It was fantastic! The dealer set up a slalom and also let me take it on the freeway. Put it in sport mode and gunned it to about 110mph. Can't wait to test drive the manual. trans.

Default just wanted to add..

after driving a G35 coupe for 4-5 yrs, I thought I would look at sedans, as the family needs a change and I needed something that was kinder to my old kidneys. I drove last week both the 328xi, and 2.0L and 3.2L B8's. Unless you have driven these new models, you really don't have anything to compare or talk about. I always liked 3 series since my first back in '84. I prefered the 2.0L overall, and that is where I put my money....this round, now not so patiently waiting for a car.....

Anything more to say about how the B8 compares to the 3?

And how did the 2.0T compare to the 3.2? I only drove the 2.0T myself.

Default more info...

I could have gone with either the 328xi or the B8 A4. I chose the Audi cause I have had good luck in the past with my first A4 and it was a more inclusive package for the money. Driving either was a joy. Lots of the stuff included on the Premium Plus package were extra on the 3 series. Also I have a good friend that bought a 328xi a few months ago, and he has had issues already, it has been back at least once per month for some niddly little nuisance problem. So a bad taste there I guess.

On the latter part, my impression from a couple of weeks ago now was the 2.0L was more nimble driving... and not less quick off the line, if anything I felt the 2.0L was faster and smoother 0-30mph. Also the 3.2L was more heavy and front loaded in handling, I would assume from the extra weight...IF top 0-60 is of key import, then buy a couple year old S4 or a 335xi....jmho...
