I live in Turkey. I bought AUDI A4 2.0 TDI 144hp 8 levels multitronic in August 2010. 3 days passed by and I felt something strange about gear shifts and transmission.

Let me describe you the problem. It doesn't occur frequently but it annoys me very much when happens.

I start my engine and change the gear to "D" approximately after 45 seconds. Sometimes the car doesn't go forward. It goes backward or stand still as if I changed the gear to "N". Also when I push down the gas pedal until the end, the car tries to accelerate and make noise as if it was in the third gear and moves very slow. After one point it accelarates in a wink and speed up like crazy. When I slow down to wait for the red light or something, it happens and again and again until I arrive to my destination.

Also, I noticed that the rpm gauge rise and falls all the time(shaky)even if i go with a constant speed at 140 km/h.

After having these issues, when the problem occured again, I changed the transmission the tiptronic to see the gear shifts and try to adjust it manually. But I noticed that, gears shift at their own right until gear four, although I try to change them. I can see the changes in the gear on the display, but I can't feel it or see it in the RPM gauge. But after gear four I can easily change the gear to upper levels and it goes like that.

The problem also occurs when I change the gear to "R". "The car goes forward!!".

I left my car to local AUDI service and they said that "The transmission worked fine, they couldn't found the problem and the problem not even occured. They informed the AUDI Germany about this problem and waiting for an answer".

I quailed in this issue and ask for your help. Maybe you can identify the problem. I recorded some videos of my car.
