Default Launching 6MT

How do you guys launch your manuals? I can't seem to get a good launch with mine.

Well I would go 6000rpms and slip clutch and I would not slam gears that = broken gears or syncros. I have lots of practice in the awd game its really just finding the point of building the boost and slipping the clutch to get that great launch. just my thoughts

Sounds right. In a FWD or RWD car, dropping/side-stepping the clutch will overpower the available traction and spin the tires. You might also break things, but the weakest link is usually traction. In an AWD car, there's so much traction that the weakest link may be gears or other drivetrain parts. Flooring it and controlling RPM by slipping the clutch will make for a breathtaking launch. It will also will bake the clutch, but you're sacrificing the clutch to cushion the blow to other hard parts. I haven't priced a clutch replacement job, but it figures to be cheaper than a transmission rebuild.
