Default rotors at 27mm after 30k miles? normal

I am not familiar with rotor wear on these cars.

Mechanic told me i'm down to 27mm. ive heard that minimum spec is 28mm.

i guess i expected the rotors to last a lot longer than this. my car is a daily driver and had 1 track day event at the time i got the brakes looked at. car is basically stock. got the inspection when i put on the hawk hps, so oem pads on the car through 30k miles.

the old pads i took off don't even look completely worn. the pads should outlast the rotors right??

The minimum spec should be stamped on the rotors. How long the rotors last depends on your driving habits, and how abrasive the pads are.

thanks, i'll look for the min spec.

so to make it more clear i had OEM pads throughout 30k miles. im wondering if others with OEM rotors and pads needed new rotors around this time.

driving habits are probably similar to any other daily commuter driver. i live 5 miles from work so street driving. freeway driving every couple days. 1 long road trip (bay area to socal). trips from bay area to tahoe throughout winter.

i would say i'm an average driver aside from the 1 track day.
