Rumbling Sound
Hey Guys I'm new to the Audi club as I just purchased a '10 a4 premium+ a few days ago! I had the car inspected by the local audi dealership and paid $140 for them to do it before I bought it private party and aside from needing tires they gave me the all clear. Well I immediately started noticing a rumbling noise coming from the front left side of the car whenever I hit the accelerator. I called Audi about it and they told me to take it back so they can see what it is. Has anyone else had this issue or know what it could be?
Hi there,
I actually have had the same exact issue with a 2010 A4 I bought used recently and took it to Audi and they stated it was the the hub bearing (which BTW was under the warranty). I ended up trading that car in for another car that was certified and with 20k less miles so I did not see that one through to find out if it was actually a fix.
I recommend that you check out some videos on youtube to see if you can hear a similar sound in another owner's car. And I'm guessing this is a normal Audi A4 issue because now the 2009 A4 I traded for is exhibiting the same sound.
Sorry for the ramble, but hopefully this helps some. Please let me know what you find in the end. I'd be interested to know what it actually turns out to be.

We experienced a rumbling sound that appears to be an alignment issue; the inside of both front tires are noticeably worn.
Not sure if this is the same problem, or something different, but we're having the alignment checked when we return home.
