WARNING: Long rant and in need of advice

Heres the problem, I went to try and get a trade in value for my 2007 A4 AWD and apparently the carfax came up with a accident on it before I owned it. But the carfax says its worth 230$ over retail lol? what??? and even after the accident Audi offered it as a CPO so apparently if their was an accident, it couldnt have been more then someone replacing the front bumper because it was damaged I'm assuming. They offered me 11k so far at one dealership and one dealership has yet to email me an offer. Here's the problem I planned on trading that towards a new A4 and now that looks like it's out the window.

Was going to have to order what I wanted: A4 AWD phantom black with audi advance and sports pkg., well should I try and sell it private party and buy one of the lot now since I wouldnt have a back up car to drive to work and school and just have to settle for a new A4 but not with the options or color i want haha great right since I planned on getting a car I wanted with the options and keeping it for quite some time. I owe on the B7 still so trading it in at a low price like that would set me back and I'd owe more coming out of it.

I know this is long but ya know serving in the military and working my *** off just to get screwed in the end kinda pisses me off and screws over my plans, shoulda just took down the American flag and pissed on it, woulda been the same to me screwing over a vet.

I could keep the B7 I guess and just change out of the headlights, and do the stuff i woulda done to the b8 i guess but should i invest the money into a car id still trade or sell atleast 2 years from now if i dont just decide to sell now and get the b8.

FYI: the carfax said airbags didnt deploy, and no frame damage, and again it said it was worth more then retail even with an acccident on its report meaning to me that apparently it wasnt a bad accident or nothing more then a big scratch on the front bumper from hitting something at a low speed and replacing it. So wouldnt that mean really even with that the cars just fine to not LOWBALL me horribly????

Car only has 62k miles on it and runs and looks amazing for its year and I keep it clean.

 

Heres another question: If I keep the B7, how would i convert the front lip to the lip the new B8's have?

Here's mod's I'd do if I kept the B7:
last things i'd do:
APR Turboback Exhaust
Stage 2 tune

First mods:
Lip spoiler 3 piece vortex
shadowline chrome window trim and trunk spot thats like silver on the bumper
Led style headlights
front lip to look like new B8's
Already tinted windows 10%
Already has wheels
Touchscreen headunit
Also want to repaint the hood and front bumper and fix up random scratches on the car cost bout 750 to 1k
Front glossy black filler plate
Skid plate( tow license plate bracket and holder)

Any other mods other then lowering you think I should consider? post away and keep in mind this would be something I'd take into consideration if I kept the 2007 A4

 

an audi dealership low balled the value of the car? if so, that sucks. i'd call a few audi dealerships or stop by for a quote on a trade-in. shop around.

 

Yeah I've shopped around at a few places and the only 2 to respond to me so far including the one I actually went in to offered me pretty low.

 

Most of the time you can get more from a private sale than a trade in. I am not sure how the 2012 US Spec'd A4's are but in Germany they have just released the facelifted ones. The front and rear lights are different (look like the new A6 ones now) and IMO look better than the 1st batch of A4 B8's. Also some newer updated engines have been added as well. You may want to just keep your current B7 (which is a great car) and wait for the newer B8's to hit the US/Canada or even go for the B9's in a few years. I am waiting for the new A3's to come out to see how they are. Audi is supposed to be releasing a sedan style A3 that looks pretty good (if true) and not any bigger than my B7. Time will tell though...

Answer to your rant.

They can sell it for a higher price with a CPO..... But they can't CPO with ANY modifications. They have to pay someone to remove everything you put on it and restore to stock.

And you always get screwed with a trade in.... its like going to a pawn shop.

 

your cars worth atleast 13 at an auction so just private sell it
