Default Vehicle light malfunction indicator came on

Hello, I have a 2010 Audi A4. The other day the yellow Vehicle light malfunction indicator came on. I noticed my driver side headlight is out. I tested the bulb and switched the bulb from the passenger to the driver side but it still does not illuminate. All the other lights work in the headlight, so Im not sure what the heck is going on. All other lights work on the car as well. Does anyone know what I should check next? There doesn't appear to be any fuses associated with the LFT Headlight also so no luck it being a fuse.

I see no answers, so let a rookie attempt to help. I believe there is a ballast involved in the HID headlights, if that is what you have. Google that. The other possibility is a failed ground. After that I am out of ideas and wish you well because electrical gremlins suck. Let us know when you find it.

Where might the bad ground be located? I have a similar problem. Thanks
