2003 a4 quattro 1.8t xeon lights..

after going through the car wash the other day i was driving down the road and got left headlight dipped... i pulled over and looked at my light and it was out... i figured maybe the bulb went so i pulled the bulb and balast out and put it in the other side of the car and it works fine...so i pulled the whole left side assembly out (side that is out ) and i plugged it into the opposite side and it works fine...so its nothing in the headlight assembly ... i dont really know where to go from here i cant find any fuses for the lights and yesterday i got the light on for about thirty seconds and it went back out again... anyone have any idea where i could look.

check your headlight relays... or if you have a VAG-COM or have a friend close by with one, i would scan your computer and check the faults.

 

where are the headlight relays ? and i do have vag com...it just says electrical fault

 

I'm thinking when you moved the bulb and ballast to the other side, and it worked... it was a fluke. Leave it in the other side, and see how long it lasts. I imagine it's your bulb or ballast.

 

its been in the otherside for a week and i swapped em back for another week! still workin haha im at a lost!
