So I'm wondering what Audi did to add the extra torque on the B8 2.0T. I've read a lot about the new B8's in Car and Driver, and Road and Track but haven't found what they revised to make up the extra torque on this engine. Thanks for any input.

I read it was a tweak of the exhaust or intake and a bit of a tune.

Audi put a lot of effort into this new engine and the results are pretty nice...just wish it sounded a little better....guess it's time to go to the Borla website...

It does sound like an enraged Hoover, but it DOES run.

Does this engine have a throttle body, or does it run unthrottled like a Diesel, with power controlled with the fuel supply?

Direct injection is among the improvements from the old 1.8/2.0 engine to the current one.
