You guys should check out Audi's cup car in action, its so funny to think that its a TDI. To think that they blow porsche, ferrari, BMW,and acura away with a frekin diesel is so sick. not only is it an amazing engineering feat but they also WIN in that car too!!!

I would totally buy the new TDI beast machine that they have on the way. Im just thinking about when ill be in the market for another car closer to 2009 2010. Just think what will be Brand New then!!!!

Well that settles it. It's either gonna be a S Line A4 TDI or a S Line A5 TDI. Alot of people were hoping on a revival of the twin turbo S4 but Audi blew it.

 

thats gay as hell. the new a4 TDI is gona be almost on par with it. and get double the gas mileage and triple the aftermarket support

 

Hey guys just came across some new information about the new S4, the article says that Audi plans to supercharge the 3.0 FSI engine. Its going to be a lot more fuel efficient and put out 350hp and i think it looks pretty good. I was really hoping for the twin-turbo to come back though i like the modability of the twin-tubos anyways still looks sweet heres the link.

Sweetness. Turbos or supercharger regardless, it's nice to see an S-line car return to a boosted six-cylinder. Doesn't really matter for me though, personally - no matter what they do with it, I can't afford it.

 

I remember reading a few months ago that the new S4 will have the turbo's back in and I really hope so because turbo's are part of the Audi history.

 

According to Road and Track's new issue, the new S4 will run a supercharged V6, 3.2L, pushing out 350hp or maybe a bit more. Check the issue for details.

 

I think I'm sold on the A4 TDI vs. the S4. I just read an article (damn, I can't find it) that showed Audi invited journalists to do a "real world" test in France. The best recorded mileage for the 783 mile trip in the TDI was 52 mpg while the worst among the group was 49 mpg. I'll take 75% of the performance at 110% of the mpg.

 

Before crying about the lack of turbos in the upcoming S4, ask your local dealer to show you the maintenance access and cost for one of Audi's twin turbo V-6's. Ask the service person to let you have a look underneath one of these cars when it's on the hoist. Ask about the cost and availability of the special oils those cars require. You can only obtain the oil from Audi. That ought to cure any half way rational person of the craving for twin turbos.

 

I am so glad Audi decided to bring back the forced induction s4.
