Damn. Now living in the Boston area, I'm fearing for the safety of my car. I had less to fear in Los Angeles. (course could be because no one was talking about the theft of their stuff)

Damn, things like this just make you picture yourself killing and torturing the guy that did it! lol Chevy Silverados are very common here in Alaska and people get their aftermarket taillights stolen cuz the tailgates didn't come with locks on them.

They're probably stealing them for the HIDs - OEM setups are still a lot of money. Man, I agree with the suggestion of parking where you did before and lying in wait. A tip though - be armed and have friends. You don't want to do that only to find that they've got the jacker, plus a driver and a lookout. Suddenly that knife you are carrying isn't so useful against three guys. Catch them in the act, beat them down, and then park somewhere else. They may never come back, but they may come back with a vengeance against your car.

there is nothing in this world that i hate more than thiefs

try going to radio shack or any other electronic retailer and set up a closed caption wireless camera (they cost like 150 bucks)

catch the bastards in the act and smash their fingers
