So i was given a 1991 Audi 90 (car has been sitting for a couple of months).......i bought a new battery and it cranked on the first try i killed the car with the transmission in drive....now every time the key is turned on the car says that it is drive and won't start or even turn over.....transmission gear indicator doesn't move when placed in any gear....also it doesn't sound like the solenoid for the brake engages when pedal is pressed. Any thoughts???

 

disconect the batery
