Default 92audi100 want to put in stick which one??

I have a very nice Audi 100 CS with auto trans. 2.8 v6. I want to convert it over to a stick. I know that the clutch is the same all the way to 2005 on many a4s and passats but my question is which years of trannys will work and flywheels. Asked around and no salvge yard here knows. How about you?
thanks
jim

No, its fine but as you are aware-autos last about 140-160 usually and that means i have about a year left before i do something. I know its a little crazy but I have had severak stick audis and just love em. This car is just an excellent car and i believe it would be great as a stick.
thanks for asking

ok, I'd hate to say this, but stop now!!! I could be wrong here (if you are a master tech kinda guy with unlimited shop resources then ignore this) but its a friggen nightmare swap. My advice would be to find yourself a nice 93-95 S4/S6. I have seen nice/average examples for 6500 and under. Putting the manual in your car will be a tough swap....

I was factory certifed tech by Mercedes Benz for 20 plus years. Was ASE Master tech for many many years-so not too much scares me-I agree this isn't for the faint of heart. But, I am getting old and although I could overhaul the automatic, after the work of pulling the trans I thought-gee I would love to have a stick in this car. Other than normal maintenance items this car has never broke. So maybe I'm too old --anyway thanks for the imput.

Non quatro tranies would fit into the car, if the engine code is same (for best match).
Yes you can do it. it might take too much time though. More that you would like to spend.
You can read the post around here about trany swap.

Thank you for your time and replies. Time is one thing I have. I have been looking at pedal setups and that really looks to be the messy part of the situation. Again, thank you for your time and interest.

pedal setup might be the easiest. becouse the pedal carier is made for manual. all is needed is manula clutch and brake pedals. then you just put them it. well plus a lot of other crap to come a long. hardest part would be the cross member for tranny. Unless you get one for manual too.
basically hardnees dipends on how much you wana invest. its inversly proportional, more invest easier it be
