A couple of questions about 5ks
I have a couple of questions about my 87 5000 S that some of you might be able to answer.
For the most part the car runs great, except for the transmission slipping here and there, and sometimes the breaks like to get really stiff. The questions I have though are:
1) I've been looking all over the place for the 'hydrolic mineral oil' that goes in (I'm guessing) the Master Cylinder. Mine is well below minimum but no one has a clue what it is.
2) Does the 5k have a spot for Automatic Transmission fluid and if so what type?
Basically the car was given to me by my mother for free. I'd like to do some things with it, new paint, repairs on some of the electrical stuff in the inside, and new door handles etc. Basically, restore the car before I go out and buy a new one. Like I said it runs fine now but there's things that probably needs to be done before it starts to die as it's comming up on 200k (about 6k miles away)

1) Pentosin is the mineral oil that is recommended for Audi central hydraulic systems, just don’t pour it into the brake master cylinder.
2) Dexron is what you should use for ATF.
