Default Tranny swap

One of my Audi 5000's years ago I had to replace the transaxle. Not all that bad a job.

Prob now is that I have a 90 100 that dropped the tranny, and my g'son's car, I gave it to him.

Can't do the work anymore. I pulled the entire transaxle, many times. This time need the tranny pulled and replaced, and I would rather have the mech pull just that. One guy I knew sais he loosed the snubber, motor mounts, tranny supports and pulled the tranny off and slid the new one back in place.

This has to be easier than unbolting the starter, bellhousing, converter, etc., so I'd like to ask some, like Audutech, HX, others who do such work if it is feasible.

I'm cheap, right now. Just had to have an engine replaced in this boy's mother's car, a Toyota, and I am running out of money. Also replaced the tranny in his Merc Tracer about 6 months ago, that one blew, too.

Cheers,

George
