Hello everyone hope someone will help me on this one, i have an audi a6 1.8t i love it, but recently i'm heaving problems starting it. In the morning it starts very good, idle is perfect but while driving it i suddenly dies, then it won't start anymore, i've checked it with vag com and it said cranckshaft sensor which i changed it but still the same problem it it happens once in two or three days it;s not a regular problem, what i have noticed is that when the car will start the throtlle does the whining but when it doesn't want to start the throttle is'nt whining, to start the car i have to put the key to on position and take disconnect the battery and connect it again several times until i hear the throttle whining, i have cleaning and aligned it but still the same probelm please any had similar problem HELP.

hmm welp there could be vacuum leaks can be a drain injector rings. These mediation rough idle and loss of hard starting power. I would start there, check the intake and vacuum hoses.

 

I've change all the hoses still the same problem but once more when i disconnect the batery or leave it for about 10 min to rest it will start.

 

Sounds like the speed sensor and by the way. As far as I know, 1.8T engines never went on an A6. perhaps you have an A4
