Default Audi TT P1128 Code

I screwed up. While fueling up my TT I accidently started putting 87 octane in an almost empty tank. By the time I realized my brain fart I had put about 4 gallons in. I filled the rest of the tank up with 93 octane.

It ran okay but by the time I got home the check engine light was on. The only code present was P1128.

The P1128 indicates: "Long term fuel trim multi. bank 1 system too rich." What does that mean?

My plan is to run this fuel out and fill with the proper fuel. Then reset the code.

Comments please!

This code usually means the precat o2 is going bad, however the 87oct could of also tripped it. Just run it to about 3/4 left and fill it up again with 93 and reset the code. If it comes back, start looking into replacing the o2 sensor
