any help is appreciated.. for whatever reason when i am pumping gas into the car it stops me every $2. it literally takes me 20 minutes to pump my car with $35.00 worth of gas.. every $2 it stops .. im using good bp gas and im using ultimate.. any ideas?

Its an evap problem. I believe its like a check valve that can get stuck open or closed. Its happened in my Colorado. Pumping gas really wasnt fun.

 

My daughter has a Subaru Forester with the same problem. My research indicates that the Sube's problem is caused by a relief valve located inside the gas tank that is faulty. Repair will require removal of the fuel tank then replacement of the part and reassembly. Price quoted by the dealer was >$800.00 so she lives with slow fill up.
