Default Need help---Chip, Diode, Difference? Better?

I've been looking into the "chips" for increased fuel mileage for my 2005 A8L. On ebay it seems they are actually resistors/diodes versus actual chips and often, if not always, trip the Check Engine Light.

I've looked around some Tuner sites and can't find a chip for my model and year.

Any advice? I don't want to screw up the car but I'm not a noob to them and know they run rich from the factory.

Can anyone recommend a good option or educate me on my choices that I can't seem to find anywhere?

THanks for the help.

Never buy a "chip" from ebay. As for actual tuners, im not sure, you can try Revo, Giac, or APR for something, but i dont think they do anything for that plateform. You can always install and custom cai and exhaust and that will lean out the power some and net you more power and better mpg
