Make sure the key is in the ignition and turned on to where the lights on the dash and guages are lit. Sometimes on these cars, you have to rerun the linking process with the OBD tool. If it doesnt work the first time, rescan without changing anything (dont turn the key off and on again, leave it on!), if that doesnt work, try again. Good Luck!

You can also try to leave the OBD tool plugged in and still on after a link error, turn the ignition off for a few seconds then turn it back on, and run the linking process again, you may need to try this a few times also.
I have had vehicles give me trouble like this but eventually link with the car with enough experimenting. Good luck, keep us posted.

You may also want to try with the engine running. Dont plug/unplug the scan tool while the key is on or engine running.
