AFIK, you should use the premium gas, especially with the turbos. But, using a lower octane once and awhile really won't hurt anything except performance. Who needs peak performance ALL the time though?

I just bought my 02 a4 3.0, the dealer had put 87 in. I just filled up with 92 yesterday and noticed a big difference after an hour of driving.

Sunoco's Ultra... 93 octane at $3.39/gal (I'm in Jersey) not as bad as new yorkers with +$3.50 for premium gas. Anyone from jersey ever been to this cheap *** private gas station on Rt. 35 near Middletown that had 95 octane gas? I'm not even sure if they even exist anymore, that was like 10 years ago...

well i got the car back and have taken it back in twice now. The code is coming up that it is running lean. they replaced an o2 sensor and i dont know what else it could be. the dealer just resets the light and says its good, it is a honda dealer though. im gonna have it checked at an audi dealer this week. im just glad i bought the extended warranty

You had a Honda dealer check the codes on your Audi?

That's like having a mexican cook you italian food.

the only reason i had a honda dealer do it cause i bought it from them and it was still under my 3 day return. they actually took it to Audand it turns out it was a vacuum line that was causing the code. all better now

I have an a4 and my sister has an 2006 a6...I strongly recommend u only use the best gas. I accidently put the cheap gas 1 time in the a6 and the car kept jerking and wouldnt switch gear sometimes...hope this will help!
