Default Need advice/tips on how to get these blemishes out...

I have an 02 A4 that i got a few months ago.

Basically on the paint it looks like it has water spots that don't come. I've tried a lot of things and they won't come off.

here's a few pics:

I took it to a detailer today and he couldn't do anything to it. Probably not the best detailer in the area, but was convenient.

Is there a product i can get to get this out myself? Or should i seek out another detailer.

I've tried a clay bar, but it didn't do anything to help this, although it did clean other contaminants. I've tried polish, and other detailing liquids, but nothing has even taken one spot out.

The last picture makes it look horrible, i can assure you it doesn't look that bad.

Thanks for any help.

The marks can easily be polished out with a DA or rotary polisher and the right polish/compound. If they are particularly bad (it's hard to tell just from the pics) then they can be wetsanded before polishing. Polishing will take care of the swirl marks and spider webbing too.

It is possible to do this yourself with the right tools and products, but I would recommend finding a professional detailer in your area who can do paint correction.

There are a couple of forums you can check out to get more information on this, and you should be able to find a good detailer there:

Keep us updated on how you get on.

thanks for the responses guys. the VW dealer i went to couldn't do it, and the other detailers i've tried couldn't either (but none of them seemed very experienced). I'm about to move to a location with better Audi support, and once my finances are in order I'll definitely try some suggestions here.

I'll post back when/if i get it fixed.

Default Blemishes are ACID RAIN Etching

Removing that damage will remove much of your clear coat. Even if you remove them all, another rain full of acid filled water droplets will cause more spots in minutes.

Acid rain is very common all over the world and it occurs quite often.
