It's pretty basic but I couldn't find a write up for the basic mechanics!

Need:
Throttle Body gaskets $1.49 (Advanced Auto)
Phillip Screw Driver
5mm Allen Wrench
Vice grips
Throttle body cleaner aka carb cleaner $2.25 (Advanced Auto)
Shop towls
q-tips

1st this is what your throttle body looks like right in the middle.

Start by disconnecting your battery (important in the end)! then remove the hose from the body (phillips screw driver) Unplug the clip at the top

Now there are 4 bolts holding the body to the manifold (5mm Allen) Mine were pretty tight and as leverage to get off I used vice grips.

Once all off you should now be able to undo the throttle cable and the body is all free!

You will notice black/brown junk is the throttle body that is BAD there might even be some just inside the manifold.


Spray it with the cleaner and used shop towels to wipe out, in those hard to reach ares use q-tips!


Q-tips work great on the ends of the butterfly!


Once all done should be clean and shiny I even took the time to clean the outside since mine was pretty nasty! see 1st and last pics!



Put every thing back in reverse order not forgetting the new gasket!


Now reconnect your battery. Put your key in the ignition and turn forward but DO NOT start the car, go listen to the throttle body it should be making a high pitch kind of noise, that is good! once the noise stops you can start her up! Hope this helps anyone that might need it!
