Default 98 A6 Bose Concert to Aftermarket wiring

Hey everyone,

New to the site. I know has probably been discussed a lot, but I was just hoping I could get some help wiring an aftermarket stereo to my 98 A6 with Bose Concert. I got the Metra 70-1787 harness and the 40-VW54 amplified antenna.

The stock stereo A connector seems to match perfectly with the Metra harness for the speaker wires to RCA, ground line, and Antenna AMP (blue/white) wire.

But, I have some questions about the C connector and the amplified antenna. BTW I'm removing the ashtray and it has a brown, a red/blue and a grey/blue wire for the cigarette lighter.

1) Where’s the best/easiest place to get the Red Ignition wire? Can I use the cigarette lighter's red/blue ignition lighter? Will I then be able to turn on the stereo whenever the car is on?

2) Where’s the orange illuminate wire? Can I use the grey/blue wire from the cigarette lighter?

3) Antenna confusion — a) C5 is Active ANT (+) Output, do I line that up with the separate blue wire that came with the Metra harness? b) what does the blue wire from the Metra amplified antenna connect to?

4) Can I use the brown ground wire form the cigarette to the brake sensor for parking bypass?

5) What do I do with the wires that aren't going to be used, like the non-Bose speaker wires?

Thanks for any help/suggestions
