Airbag Control Unit
Hi All,
Just taken my A5 to the garage and they have told me the airbag ECU has the following fault -
1. power supply supper threshold exceeded.
2. Electronic control unit malfunction internal electronic failure.
now, they can replace the ECU, but say they are slightly worried about the first fault as they think it may cause the ECU to be fried again.... anyone seen this before?!

Hi.
Your A5 has a Battery Energy Management system. From the BEM ecu the garage should be able to read the history data and determine if there is an upper voltage limit problem.
Was the vehicle jumpstarted or had work whereby the airbag ecu may have been spiked?
