C5 Allroad TCM water damage questions
Hello all,
Had a few questions on my 2004 Allroad Tip-tronic. The car went to the dealer ship for a bad level control module which was replaced. Care still has air suspension that was working well until the level control module decided to stop working. Now it’s replaced the dealership is saying that the TCM is flooded. I see where this is a common issue from water intrusion from the cabin filter. They say I need a new or rebuilt TCM and the wiring harness. I can see used TCM’s on ebay but not sure what part numbers I need to match? I also see the wiring harness, however hey are all just cut off. I am happy to splice and solder/ shrink wrap the wires but I’m wondering if this throws off the continuity? Has anyone here done this with success? Just trying to see what I can do to get the car back. They say they can’t even order a new harness so only options to source a used one.
Thanks,
Tom
