Default comfort control module

the passenger foot well on my audi a4 2007 cabriolet was wet and started having trouble with the central locking, windows and interior lights. I removed the passenger seat pulled the carpet and found a lot of water under the carpet and the comfort control module was sitting in water!

im in the process of drying the car out but think I need a new ccm. the part number is 8h0 959 422 M. I cant find 1 anywhere? can anybody point me in the right direction as to where I can get 1 from??

You should be careful with it! It can be dangerous for you! But why do you think that you need to buy one new? It seems to me it is possible to repair this module. Contact the specialists, I'm sure they will help you! But I would advise you to read the manual for you about audi AUD-S user manual here . I think you will find info about this device. Perhaps you can find information on how to fix the error

I'll just tell my little general tale: Three years ago a crazy 36 hours of heavy rain led to my TT Roadster suddenly not starting. A breakdown truck was arranged and tipped the car up for transportation (little did I know water in the module area sloshed everywhere and compromised the working of the CCM). Drying out the area (hairdryer) brought it back to life ... but then a too vigorous clean of a corroded -looking area of the control module motherboard (controlling roof / petrol cap / boot / interiors lights) caused those areas to fail again...sigh. This was sorted by local computer repair wiz who did some soldering on the v. small scratch - damaged area. Everything but my central locking issues was sorted for just £20 (I was quoted £200 just to look at it from an online company with no guarantees they could fix!). Main dealer would have talked replacing *£1000 +.
