Okay, sorry if this is dumb but I am 18, bought a 2002 A4 a while back and recently (in light of snowfall) noticed that my esp will not turn off/ backlight turn on. (There is consistently no backlight) I went in to the fuse box and double checked that and hooked it up to the scanner but only got unrelated codes nothing about abs or esp. I don't think i have missed anything but I really have no idea.. Can anyone help?

Btw- when loosing traction (accelerating hard on ice for example) my tires spin and a triangle flashes on dash.. And when sliding and trying to put gas into it the car will not let me. So I think it is currently working
