Fuel guage doesn't read right dealer want $300 to fix?????
Anyone have this problem?? I have a 97 a4 2.8q. The guage always goes to empty and half never acurate or right, audi dealer says its the float in the tank?? Whats up with that??
Yep the fuel sender is just a resistor and developes corrosion over time. I had to replace mine. It's pretty easy to do yourself if you ambitious. I posted a How-to in the "DIY" section. I posted it awhile ago so you'll have to change the little drop down menu to display articles older ones.
very common problem.... i just had mine replaced-
something like $85 for the part and $120 for labor.
