I am trying to put HIDs in my car and have had nothing but electrical issues with this POS, so I'm a little scared. ..

Things went haywire when i put in a Blaupunkt deck. ..Alarm works when it wants. randomly pops fuses for aux. fan.

I dont have dumb-loud stereo or anything.
anyone have any pointers for the ballast ground??

I installed the Xentec HID kit on my A4 B5 with very little problems. Just search Xentec on ebay and you'll find them. I think the kit with shipping was around $38 for me. I attached some pics of how I mounted the ballast under the headlight composites. Just unplug the factory headlight, plug it into the new ballast, and plug the other end into your new HID bulb.

I also work at a shop and 2 of the technicians put them on their trucks without any problems...I definitely recommend it.

 

You don't need to ground hids. It's a plug and play system. Lmk if you need help. I've done several b5s
