Radio an Audi/Bose is in safe.........I have the radio code but when I got the car I didn't get a radio book.Can anyone run me thru the steps how to enter the code and get it playing again?

 

what year car do you have? Here's the instructions for a Delta radio.

1) Park car. (Note: Experienced radio unlockers have been known to perform this task while driving, but it is extremely dangerous and may result in a fatal crash. Not advised.)

2) Turn radio on. SAFE will show in the display. (Note: The car does not have to be on, nor does the key have to be in the ignition or in any position.)

3) Press the hold the FM1/2 and DX buttons simultaneously and hold until "1000" shows on the display. Release the buttons. Do NOT press these buttons again, otherwise the radio will consider "1000" to be the code.

4) Enter your radio code. Use the radio station preset buttons (1, 2, 3, 4) to enter the four-digit code number from your radio card. Preset button 1 corresponds to the first digit, Preset button 2 corresponds to the second digit, etc. Each press of the button increments the number by 1. So for example, if your code was 1927 you would press...

- 2 9 times
- 3 2 times
- 4 7 times

If your radio is still locked then you entered the incorrect code.

When an incorrect code is entered, the word 'SAFE' appears in the display again, first flashing and then continuously. You can repeat the above steps to unlock the radio once more. If an incorrect code is entered again, the radio will be locked for about an hour.

After one hour, you may try again twice before it locks again for an hour.
