Anyone done this on their Audi?

My wife is missing the central locking/unlocking that she used to have on her side of the vehicle. Question is, has anyone installed a central locking switch/mechanism on the passenger side?

Getting the switch is the easy part. Just get a right hand drive car's central locking switch. But what else needs to be done?

This is part of a wider "I don't like the car" that I need to fix. She also misses all the places she could put her drink. I've banned her from using the front cupholder that is strategically located right above the audio and A/C units. Sticky buttons anyone?
