TT with bent rims needs some new wheels
I have a 2001 Audi TT convertible (180hp) with the upgraded 17" wheels. I have bent 3 rims in five years from normal driving (pot holes, mostly). I replaced one wheel (it was not repairable) and am currenty driving on two bent rims.
I have moved from Florida to New Jersey and am tired of driving on the bent rims...
Can anyone recommend a good (hopefully, not too expensive) wheel that will not get bent on these country roads where I live now? I will also be driving my car in the snow. I don't drive really fast -- I just enjoy the ride with the top down.

what size tire are you running, if you run a 40 series tire the rim will get damaged easyer, if you run a 45 or 50 series tires i think you will have less problems and do you have the oem 17" wheels or are they a cheaper aftermarket wheel.

well i don't know what to say, i have 40 series tires on my 18's and drive on crappy roads all the time and have had no problems, maybe change wheels, i'm sure you could get a nice set for about the same price as the oem wheels. did you replace the bent wheels with oem or oem replica wheels.

I just learned that my 19x8.5" BBS LM rims are bent, after about 10000 miles. I'm not happy at having to fork out $1000/piece to replace them.
You mentioned that you had some fixed, what to they call that so I can ask around? Or if you can refer me to someone in the Atlanta area, I'd be really happy.

I searched "rim repair atlanta" on Google and found www.metrowheels.net in Marietta. There are probably several places there since Atlanta is so big.
I would expect them to check the wheel for free. Good luck.
