06 A4 2.0T wont go over 45mph, check engine light on :(
The car has about 50,000miles on it, its a 2006 A4 2.0T and the car wont go over about 45 mph and the check engine light is on. Does anyone know what this problem is or has anyone had this problem? THANKS
Wow, yet another problem with the kind of car that I am suppose to be buying this weekend. And it has low milage too. Did you read the codes and found out why it was doing that? Please update.
I sold the car already and I was contacted about it, but the car has always been a good car, only a few minor problems. As with any of these expensive German made cars I would recommend getting some type of protection on them. I just bought an 08' A4 with 18,000 miles on it for about 22,500, which was a good deal and it is under warranty till 50,000 miles.
Sounds like one of the coil packs went and the car went into safe mode. If this is the case its an easy fix, take it in and have all 4 packs replaced (if thats what the code returns) or buy a set of ebay and replace em yourself.
The turbos are a little more finicky than the 3.0 or 3.2 but a great little engine.
