Hi Guys,

Just Got an 03MY A4, and have noticed a fairly harsh resonance when accelerating harshly. It happens in every gear, when the revs are approaching 2000pm(more specifically between 1750 - 2000) and once over this point it goes awaycompletely.

The noise is from the engine bay -I thought maybe the exhaust was blowing on boost build up - but after checking this out, its not.

Can anyone shed some light on this worrying issue?

This engine isn't exactly the quietest one around. But if it really is resonance check the air filter and air scoop + engine cover.
