Default 1996 a4 2.8 check engine light

I bought my audi 9 months ago iv had trouble since owning it for 3 months. I had the egr valve cleaned out by my mechanic that didnt do it so i just had him reset the cpu and he stays off for a month then comes back on. The wierd thing is the other day it went off for 2 days then came back on i dont get it!! I work for 1800 radiator and iv talked to plenty of people with audi's and iv been told the egr never goes bad? is it the vacuum syllinoid or just the egr sensor?

-need a radiator? 1800 252 0333 ext 2145 john

While the light is on have the codes read. there maybe something else kicking on the cel.. i had my egr cleaned as well and car runs much better and no more cel. thevacume lines may be bad, also did you have the TB cleaned as well
