Hello, i recently purchased a 1998 Audi A4, used was only owned by 1 person, 100k miles. Car had issues (expected), brought it in to the Audi dealer in Jamaica to get it checked and sorted out to be road worthy. The first problem i noticed after 2 weeks of buying the car was that the PRND321 lights were all selected on the dash (Multi-function switch fault, which i purchased a new one and problem was not fixed). They say i now need a new TCU and the price they give is equivalent to $2000 US currency. Recently i realised that my radio does not work, the AC does not work, my dip light works..only the left and i am unable to switch to bright. Immobilizer light flashes (check engine) and car refuses to start until after 10-20 minutes of removing and re-entering the key, the car shakes alot when idle, and the engine seems to misfire when i rev it past 4500rmp in idle. I want to know though, if i buy a new tranny will it come with the TCU or would i have to get a TCU separately and what could be the possible causes of the problems i mentioned above?
